Direct Support Professional / CNA/ CMA

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – First Shift

Location: Bremer County, Iowa

Schedule: Compressed Weekday Shifts | Biweekly Pay

They build relationships, foster independence, and support individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) in living full, meaningful lives. We don’t reduce people to diagnoses. We honor their stories, preferences, and potential.

🕒 Schedule & Pay

• Compressed Schedule: Full-time DSPs work fewer days with longer shifts, allowing for more time off between workweeks.

• Overtime Minimum: Each pay period includes at least 20 hours of overtime, except for 24-hour shifts which are not OT-eligible.

• Biweekly Pay: Direct deposit is required for all staff.

• Shift Availability: First shift openings prioritize weekday coverage.

• Coordinate and attend appointments with members

• Manage medication refills and documentation

• Plan and lead activities that reflect each person’s interests

• Support daily routines with respect and consistency

• Communicate with Team Leads and families as needed

The BOM is a strategic operations partner who ensures NIRCS runs smoothly behind the scenes. This role blends Medicaid billing, payroll coordination, and compliance tracking with mission-driven leadership. The BOM collaborates closely with the CEO, Business Development Director & CFO, and Payee Coordinator to maintain financial integrity and support staff culture.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Medicaid billing, payroll processing, and expense reconciliation
  • Track LOCE, service authorizations, and monthly documentation deadlines
  • Maintain audit-ready records across homes and service types
  • Collaborate on wage modeling, budget forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Support onboarding, staff scheduling, and internal workflows
  • Liaise with fiscal agents, MCOs, and external vendors as needed
  • Uphold trauma-informed, non-punitive accountability systems

✅ Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Medicaid billing and HCBS service documentation
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and expense reconciliation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to compliance details
  • Billing/coding certificate optional—real-world experience preferred

NIRCS is seeking a licensed social worker to serve as a flex-time consultant supporting intake assessments, benefit coordination, and trauma-informed documentation. This role is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, mission alignment, and rural impact—without the constraints of daily direct care.

🔍 Scope of Work

  • Conduct intake assessments for new clients (remote or onsite)
  • Coordinate Money Follows the Person (MFP) transitions and funding
  • Review SSA payee eligibility and HCBS documentation
  • Provide trauma-informed consults for staff and guardians

NIRCS is seeking a detail-oriented Payee Coordinator to oversee financial stewardship for individuals receiving Representative Payee services. This role ensures timely bill payment, accurate benefit tracking, and audit-ready documentation—all within a person-centered, trauma-informed framework.

  • Maintain individual ledgers and reconcile monthly Social Security deposits
  • Process rent, utilities, and personal spending requests with accuracy and care
  • Track benefit changes, LOCE status, and payee authorizations
  • Prepare quarterly reports for guardians, case managers, and auditors
  • Collaborate with BOM to ensure compliance with SSA and HCBS standards
